Core Values

Commitment to
Character

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Welcome to the Nu Beta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi’s website! We hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into our sorority’s values, involvements, and activities. As members of Nu Beta, we encourage academic excellence, involvements within both the Ole Miss and Oxford communities, strong bonds of sisterhood, and many fun along the way! We also strive to inspire ambition within ourselves and each of our members so that she may become the very best version of herself.

Our sisters’ involvements in organizations beyond AOII is endless. It proves that our values and ambitions extend beyond our Greek Organization. This includes The Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, The Croft Institute of International Studies, the Lott Leadership Institute, Orientation Leaders, Ole Miss Ambassadors, RebelThon, and so much more. Through AOII, our members learn the value of serving others and devote much time to service organizations and philanthropic causes. Our members support our National Philanthropy, The Arthritis Foundation, where we donated more than $30,000.00 last year. We also donate to and volunteer with both of our local philanthropies, Oxford More Than A Meal and The Boys and Girls Club of Oxford. It is through our involvements in other organizations that we are able to implement the leadership skills and hearts of service that we have developed through AOII.

During my time as an AOII, our members have taught me the value of true sisterhood, providing support and encouragement each day. My sisters constantly encourage me to be the best version of myself, and I know they would all say the same. I hope that through this website, you are able to get a glimpse of the place I have chosen to call home. AOII has been nothing short of a blessing in my life, and I believe wholeheartedly in its ability to enrich young women for generations to come.
